Hi there @jdojd! Before I start, is this an issue with the HDMI cable or the DIRECTV satellite signal? Also, what receiver model are you working with? Thanks.

If it is the HDMI cable you are having issues with, be sure that your TV is on the correct HDMI input and that the HDMI is plugged in correctly. Also, make sure that the DIRECTV receiver is plugged in and turned on. Finally, if you have a D10-HR44 model receiver, open the front panel and press the red reset button. If you have an HR54 or above, look for a red button on the side and press it. After successfully completing all of the steps and still not seeing an image on the TV, try using a replacement HDMI (if you have one) or buy one online.

If you are having issues with the DIRECTV satellite signal, be sure that the coaxial going to the receiver is finger tight and that the coaxial wire leading to the satellite dish is not rusted or looks to be damaged. Next, be sure that the satellite dish is not blocked by anything and that it has a clear view of the southern sky. Finally, if you have a SWM system, be sure that the power inserter is plugged in correctly. (Note: HR54 does not need a power inserter.) After successfully completing all of the steps and still not getting a signal, redo satellite setup and make sure the settings match your satellite dish. Finish that and see if you still get no signal. If no signal is found, you can either follow along with a video on YouTube to realign your satellite dish or it is time for a technician to come out and do it for you.

@jdojd

Let's try getting some information before throwing out a whole bunch of information as guesses to fix the issue.

Is this an issue with TVG (horseracing network) or the entire DirecTV to TV signal?

What are the models of your boxes and which one has the problem?

What troubleshooting (if any) have you tried?

Any other issues?
