Two receiver one feed, and ethernet
I have two questions. I have a single coaxial feed coming to the direct receiver in my family room. I want to hook up a second receiver to that feed.
As it is currently hooked up by the Direct TV installer the feed comes to a “power inserter”, then goes to a “Connected Home Adapter”, then to the receiver.
The problem is now at the same location I want to add a SD receiver, and I want to use the Ethernet port that the “Connected Home Adapter” is hooked to, to connect the box to the Ethernet.
What more do I have to have in the way of “black boxes” to have two receivers hooked up to a single piece of feed coax coming in (to receivers at the same spot, one HD, and one SD).
Also how can I free up the Ethernet port now being used by the “Connected Home Adapter”, so I can use it to connect the box to the internet?
