Unable to program Vizio remote to directv
I have a Vizio V-series tv with the included remote. The remote setup screen that directv gives for vizio says to press and hold mute+select until the button above mode switch flashes?
I do not have a mode switch button or a select button on my remote. I do have an "ok" button for selecting things but that isn't working for setting up the remote. Am I just unable to connect this model of remote with directv?

Those directions are for programming a DTV remote to control the TV, most TV remotes don't have the codes to control a DTV receiver. What is the model number of the DTV receiver and the remote?

Use the Directv Remote and in the Receivers Menu --MENU setting Display -TURN ON HDMI CONTROL
IF you have "WHITE DIRECTV REMOTE" It will NO have the NEW CODES for your TV model --If you have RC73 remote it will should have the proper codes.
Using the TV REMOTE TV-Setting TURN HDMI CONTROL or look for CE settings in the TV options as well
