Unable to program volume on TLC S423
I am having the same issue as previous posters with my RC66RX remote, Direct TV receiver HR24/500 and TCL - Riku S423. Automatic remote program search via the DTV receiver doesn't locate a code.
Direct code entry using 11756 works all TV functions except the volume. All alternative codes listed in other threads don't work any function on the TV.
I've done a master reset on my Remote to make sure the volume lock was't set to a previously used sound bar. I've also reset the HR 24 remote settings to make sure the remote program search function looks for a new remote.
I have three RC66RC remotes and none work the volume.
Any further suggestions?

Same problem for me and many other recent purchasers of TCL brand TV's. TCL changed something and now none of the old codes seem to work. Some work for vol but not Power, and others the opposite. I have tried many with no luck. I use the RC71 line of remotes and those seem to work well. They program thru the menu option for programming. I still would prefer the RC6xx remote but ...oh well...

Hi @bnwrx55 . We are glad to know the RC71 is working with your TCL TV properly.
We will keep an eye on extending all options on future to be able to use the RC6 models of your preference.

I found a work around solution by using an RCA universal remote.

Hello @bnwrx1 , we get the importance of having control of all your devices.
Let's clear things up, Our remote controls are guaranteed to program to your DIRECTV receiver, and they operate most devices; however your TV or other components may not be compatible with our remote control. You can use the remote that came with the device or operate the device from its front panel. (For example, use the remote that came with the TV). We appreciate your feedback, and we'll take it into consideration for future references.
In case you have any other question or concern, we'll be here for you.
