Unusual Code 775

I am familiar with resetting the swim box and plugging it back in but I had a bad thunderstorm came through last week. If I plug the swim in without going to the satellite I get a green light. As soon as I plug the coaxial cable back onto the swim the green light turns off and gives the code 775 again. Please help! I have a tech coming but he’s a week out and I have been without tv for 10 days already. I believe it to be a safety feature of some sort. I am wondering if I have a broken ground of damaged coaxial cable somewhere. How would I trace the problem?

my guess is it's a damaged cable between the power inserter and the dish. Of course, it could also be a faulty power inserter, or a damaged LNB at the dish. Difficult to know with lightning strikes.

Usually the light will blink if there is a short in the coax.
