Upgrage/Manage Equipment

I have been a DTV customer for over 10 years now; I have not logged in to my account in probably 3 or 4 years.  In the past when I went to "My equipment & services" my DVR was listed along with my Genie Minis (I have 4).  I do not see any of my equipment listed there now.  Is there an issue with their website?

BTW: The Genie Minis that I have are "wireless".  I'd like to upgrade to the Geminis for the TVs that I have that are 'dumb' (that is NOT smart) in order to afford them streaming capabilities.

You don't need Geminis to do that, any streaming box will do that.  Could be since AT&T sold off 30% of DTV the new partner is moving the website back to them.

If you have 4 Mini Genie Clients, then I hope you have the Genie-2 (HS17). Otherwise you have 1 more than can be in use at the same time.

Even with 'smart' TVs, it is suggested to have a dedicated streaming box. The built-in app option for the TV sets tend to be sub-standard.

Instead of upgrading to Geminis which would come with a 24 month service agreement, you could get Rokus, Firesticks, etc. for any TV. And you don't have to contact DirecTV for the order or to activate upon receiving them.

As for the website, it is going through growing pains. First AT&T acquired them and now there is a new co-owner. So the website has a lot of work that needs to be done behind the scenes.

The reason I'd prefer the Gemini is so that I can stick with using my DTV wireless bridges (i have 2 installed) to service the streaming content via my dvr (genie which supports all of my wireless minis) and not my homes router.  Also, that allows me to use the Gemini remotes and not have to use tv remotes to change sources.

You home router is still used. Streaming content is still from internet either way.

Router > Roku/Firestick/other chosen streaming device

or

Router > Genie > WVB > Gemini

If you like the Gemini remotes better, and of course you don't have to change inputs as all on one device for the TV, fair enough. Though plan to pay the one-time lease cost for each Gemini (if you are ready for a free upgrade that only covers one box).
