Using my Directv service in my RV

We have a permeant site for our camper. We already have directv service in our home. we have the Genie which I believe all the other receivers run off of. We would like to get another dish and bring a couple receivers from home for the summer months. Is this possible or will we have to get 2 more receivers to bring there because of the genie?

It depends on your Genie DVR model number.

If you have an HR44 or HR54 Genie DVR, you can bring that with you camping, as long as you have the same Slimline HD satellite like your dish at home.  Or a Winegard Trav'ler HD dish.

If you have an HS17 Genie DVR, you're out of luck.
