VCR/DVD Player - can not see tapes
I got Direct tv last month. I tried playing my vcr/dvd playerm, and i can not see the tape i was trying to watch. the vcr/dvd playerworks. i have tried call technology support at directtv but the person knew less than i did, and was no help. the dvr player is hooked up to the vcr/dvd palyer. i tried turning the tv set to 4 or 3 and i notice my tv set channels do not work with the dvr player. i tried tried turning the dvr off , but then the tv channels do not recognized the vcr/dvd player or its channels.
the directtv installer said just turn off the dvr and i could play my vcr/dvd player for any cd i brought. i tried seeing if the vcr was not hook up, but it is. the vcr/dvd player plays, but i can not see it on the tv set. the dvr remote works the vcr/dvr player. what do i need to do extra that i am not doing to see my tapes on the vcr/dvd player
