Vertical line on TV only when on Direct TV

I am able to stream but when I switch to my Direct Tv I have her tickle lines across all channels.  It’s not the TV as one would expect same issue on my streaming channels. Help

Resolution: Direct TV technician arrived and determined the genie box was dying.  He replaced, tried a new hdmi cable that didn’t work so he used a red/blue/green cable.  Amazing the colors and the depth my tv has now. Thank you all for your suggestions to help me troubleshoot.

Try a red button reset.  What is the model number of the DTV receiver?

Hey there! That doesn't sound right, but some issues can be resolved with one quick troubleshooting. You can try to reboot your DIRECTV box, and it'll be a plus if you unplugged and plug again you Internet cable. Also, let us know what type of receiver and service do you have, so we can give you further assistance.😉

Are you using a Directv Stream Box or another streaming Device?  If you are using a Directv Stream Box and a red button reset does not clear up the line, then try plugging into a different HDMI port if you still have the line then try replacing the HDMI cable.

@DirectTV yes I did a full reboot of my box and it’s still there. Wondering if it’s the satellite connection we had high winds and ice storm

What is the receiver model? TV brand? How is the DIRECTV box connected to the TV? Have you tried a different HDMI port or cable?

Do you say that this issue also occurs when you stream your DIRECTV satellite subscription through the app? That must mean a bad TV.

I have a new Phillips 4G tv I connect the tv to the box with the red/yellow/white jacks and have coax from my satellite into the box.  I have my internet wirelessly connected.  The model is KR44-200 mfg date is 8/2013. I can watch Hulu/Netflix/YouTube etc and I do NOT have any distortion the minute I go to the satellite it’s distorted. My hdmi cables are brand new and it’s odd it just started last evening.  I am not using the satellite to stream, I have several other apps downloaded to the television and use them to watch I do NOT use the Direct TV app

You should connect the DirecTV HR44 DVR to your new TV using an HDMI cable, not the analog red/white/yellow RCA cables.

I connect the tv to the box with the red/yellow/white jacks and have coax from my satellite into the box.

That is very confusing. What do you mean by “the box”? Is that your Directv HR44 receiver? If so, what do you mean by “coax from my satellite into the box”, do you mean coax from your satellite dish to the satellite receiver? In any event, those red/yellow/white cables are not HD. The red and white cables are for audio, the yellow cable is for composite (as in not high definition) video. You don’t need those cables connected at all. All you need is an hdmi cable from HR44 to tv. You also need to ensure you have the right input selected on your tv. If you have been watching the input for those red/yellow/white cables, that probably explains the vertical line.
