Hi @shillyar,

When you attempt to watch TV and VOD, how many streams are in use? There is a limit on how many can be used at one time.

Hey @shillyar,

Could you clarify a bit about the BW errors you are receiving.

Feel free to let me know.

The PPV movie was playng and then i was tring to record homeland and watch it and it said something like low bandwidth and it would not be able to support good resolution.

so i guess the question i have always asked is

how does a PPV movie get downloaded this days to the DVR and client ? how do i watch and record like homeland via a client ie: is it getting converted to IP and sent via the bridge ? What is the purpose of the wireless bridge i have upstairs ? why cant i just hardwire all my devices since i have switches in every room and that would eliminate any wifi bottle necks. There has always been a rj45 plug on all direct devices

but,no one seems to know what its really for.

Hey @shillyar,

PPV movies get downloaded via Internet onto the DVR. The client streams the information from the DVR. The wireless bridge connects all clients together. You can upgrade and request a completely wired setup.

Do you have Internet with us? Which plan do you have?

Let us know if this helps.

I have comcast 300M package. ive been tring to go hardwired

for years and i have been told many times dont use the rj45 jack since day 1 but, no one could tell me why.

so can i just start plug in the boxes to my switches and the DVR will find all the clients automatically ?

Genie clients/minis have no RJ 45 ports as they use the Genie to get access to the internet and so will the H25, only the Genie needs the Ethernet cable connected to it.
