watch dvd on new apex tv with new hddvr

I have a new apex tv.  I also have a new hddvr from directv.  everything seems connected correctly.  Cannot figure out how to change imput to watch the dvd.  What do I press on the remote?  Do I use the Apex remote?  The Directv remote?

The dvd player is showing the movie is playing but I cannot get the tv to "switch" over to it. 

Any help would be appreciated.
