What equipment is need to complete my installation and does the pdf mention the correct equipment

Currently I have the following:

HR22-100 with two input cables - the second cable had to be installed from the dish to the receiver

H21-100 with one input cable

Hughes SD-DVR40 with one input cable (decided not to connect the second cable due to it being located in the far end of my home)

Note: The latter will be replace during tomorrow's installation

Slimline Dish which is connected to the four output cable connector.

Router - Linksys WRT160N

You need a bunch of stuff.  A new dish, power inserter, splitter, band stop filter for the new SD box, at least two DECA adapters, and another adapter or BB unit to connect your cloud to the router.  The PDF is fairly complete except for the band stop filter to use on each SD box.

You have an installer coming tomorrow to take care of this for you, right?  Let us know how it goes.

litzdog911,

Thanks, WOW! that does seems a lot I hope the installer has done a few prior, because it looks like the person will be here more did the scheduled time which is between 8 and 12. The last installer took over four hours just to reroute the wiring outside (he was instructed to remove the Directv wiring out of the Comcast box) then he removed the old oval dish from the roof. I requested him to place the Slim dish on a pole in the ground instead having it on the roof, so he dug a hole for the pole and cement it in. He was called during time as to his whereabouts, which he relay that he was still at my residence. . As for SD-DVR40, I was informed by the person that told my order that it will be replace with a HD DVR. Of course, I will post how the installation went. I just hope it's done correctly on the first installment and the installer has all of the equipment.

I suspect they will replace your DVR40 with a R16 (which is SWM-compatible).  To replace it with a HD DVR should require an upfront lease fee of to $199 (but you may get lucky).

bob_nielsen,

I hope I do get lucky to get the HD DVR. R16? no HD that would be a bummer, because I have a 19" HDTV DVD combo in that room. Well I will see tomorrow and post the installment results.

9:30 am - I just received a tape message from Directv that the installer will arrive within two hours...not a good start; my scheduled time was between 8 - 12. By the time the person do arrive there will only be about thirty minute left of my scheduled time if that, I hope this person does not a rush job because the first job took to long?

11:50 am - I just received a call from the local Directv rep informing me that the installer will be here around 12:30 pm. I guess this shoot down the theory of having a scheduled installation time. Now I am wondering how long do this person really have to do this installment, because this past weekend I received a voice message from Directv informing me that this installment should take 2.5 hours to completed. I guess I will see if that is true or not.
