What is This?

We are new to Directv, have had service for about a week now.  We asked for an installation in my husband's den, although we do not yet have a television for that room.  The outlet is about a foot down from the ceiling.  The technician that came and did the install left a wire jumble in the corner on the ground.  Our cable modem is located in the same room, so I am assuming that some of the wires are for the Cinema broadband.  Any idea what the rest are?

the "black box" in this case is being use to power the receiver DECA which in turn is bridging the interment to the DirecTV system.  the coax cable not connected to anything will connect the receiver in the Den

I believe Ped's meant to say "bridging the Internetto the DirecTV system."  Simply connect the coax to the receiver for that room and then connect the TV, and finally power up the receiver.

He did leave you a receiver for that room?  A model H24, H25 or HR24?
