What should I do to prepare for installation?

Greetings.

My question is, what should I do to prepare for the installation?

My current setup:

I am a current Time Warner (TV,Internet,Phone) subscriber.  I am schedule to get DirecTV installed next week at which time I will cancel Time Warner TV but keep Internet & Phone.  I live in a 100+yr old home (plaster walls) and currently have a HDTV in 2nd floor bedroom, a HDTV in 1st floor kitchen, and a Standard Def TV in 1st floor Living room (will upgrade to HDTV in a few months).  Cable currently comes in from street into basement from there it is split with a direct run to Internet modem and direct runs to the TVs in Kitchen & Living room.  The 2nd floor bedroom cable is probably split at least 2 times on the way.

Here is what I ordered:

MR Installation (including Internet connection for OnDemand); HD Dish; 1 HD DVR Receiver, 2 HD Receivers; Choice Ultimate with HD Access & HD Extra Pack; DirecTV DVR service and Whole-Home DVR Service.

So in order to prepare

Should I run new R6 cable from the TVs to the basement in anticipation of the install?

Should I move the Cable Internet Modem (and wireless router) to a place closer to 1st floor main tv? (Now in 2nd floor office which does not have TV)

Is there anything else I should do/have ready for the install?

Regards

Tom
