What's the latest solution for TVs above mantles over fireplaces?

Our new house supposedly has a smurf tube (plastic conduit) from a side location going up above the mantle, but haven't seen it yet. We may not have a nearby table/rack for the DVR (likely a Genie HR54). What's the best solution for this application? If the remote for this location is RF, will that conflict with another RF remote in another room (30 feet away) or are they individually addressable?

Thanks!

You can use an HR54 genie, or you can use a Genie client connected by wireless to an HR44/HR54/HS17 genie server, or you can use H25 receiver (not a DVR) connected to one of the DVRs using "whole home".  So  it really depends what you want. All these solutions can use RF, anfd the RF signal is addressed to just one of the receivers/DVRs so they can't interfere with each other. Word of warning though. TVs use IR not RF so if you have two TVs in the same room they have to use different IR codesets (usually meand different manufacturers) because IR is not addressable.

No client can do double play as they can only use one tuner from the Genie.  The WVB has a free air range of 80'

Thanks for the answer. Short term solution is to put the genie nearby and employ the smurf tube for HDMI cable. If we want something hidden, then swap for or add a genie client as you say. Is that wireless pretty reliable? What about range and through one wall? Does it support DoublePlay?

No, as posted you need two tuners for double play and the client can only access one tuner at a time.
