Whole Home DVR - Broke on non-dvr boxes (Tech said he can't fix).

Hi Guys,

I'm a new DTV customer and got setup with DTV a week or so ago.  However, there's one major issue at play here.  The DTV boxes that connect to the DVR's don't playback recorded shows correctly.  They skip and pause every 2-3 seconds, and pause for a good 1-2 seconds each time.  This makes "Whole Home DVR" absolutly useless.

To explain further, we were originally setup with 1 DVR (HD25-500) and 3 boxes that connected to that DVR (HD24-100).  We noticed this happening the first day of use, along with the inability to pause on the connected boxes, so we called DTV who said they'll send a tech out and give us another DVR for our master bedroom (only room we cared about rewinding).

So the tech comes, does all his work and wasn't able to fix this.  However, once the new DVR was installed, skipping stopped, even when watching shows from the other DVR.  Once we noticed this, the tech talked to his boss for an hour or so and it was determined that it was a DTV issue and was something that a tech can't/won't fix.

So the issue is with these little boxes that they are incapable of replaying video from the DVRs.  Also, there is no issues with the lines as they are all brand new (I spent 4k getting all the rooms installed with updated wiring when I was remodeling my house a few months ago).

In the end, whats my next steps?  Do I call DTV and demand a DVR in each room until DTV can figure out what is wrong with thier Whole Home DVR service?

I'm coming from U-Verse and Comcast which both had no issues with TV, and I have been pretty frustrated with DTV's level of service so far.  I'd love to stick around, but c'mon, a Tech said he can't fix an issue with DTV service, I feel like I'm getting ignored and they gave up trying.

Thanks!
