whole home dvr

I currently have 1 HD DVR, 2 HD recievers, and 1 standard receiver and wanted to get whole home dvr and was told by a directv customer service  that I could not get this service because of my 1 standard definition box. They said  I needed to upgrade it to hd even though I told them that I did not want this box on the whole home dvr.  I do not need another hd box because this tv is rarely used and is not a hd tv. Is there any way for my 1 hd DVR and 2 HD receivers to work as whole home dvr and keep my standard definition box to itself?

You might need to upgrade your SD receiver to one that is SWiM compatible, but you do not have to upgrade it to HD. In fact the WHDVR upgrade package includes free upgrades for SWiM compatibility where necessary, but upgrades from SD to HD or upgrades from regular to DVR receivers cost extra. Talk to a different CSR...
