whole-home not working with on demand internet connection

I just had the hr24, h24, whole home, and on demand internet connection installed.  The whole home service was not working.  I could not see the play list on the h24.  Via phone tech service we got the whole home service working, but i had to unplug the internet conection and reset the hr24 everytime i wanted to use the whole home service.  He said they were working on a fix.  Is this right or did i get a faulty install?

There have been instances where the H24's were dropping whole home viewing.  Look at all of the components of your system, including the LNB on the end of the dish & the splitter that distributes signal to all of your receivers.  They should have Green labels on them.  This designates these products as being MRV compatible & ensures the frequency range that the MRV travels on is not consumed by a satellite signal.  Are you seeing "Multi Room" on your menu/setup/settings screen?

if you ordered the internet connection kit along with your order they should have install a separate DECA adapter along with an 18v power supply to your router, and a coax jumper going from the DECA to any point in the DTV system.  you can't plug an ethernet cable because this will disable the internal DECA in your receivers, rendering MRV usless.  so if you order the connection kit, call DTV and have them come back to finish the job.  if you did not order the internet kit, call DTV and have them install it for you, but there might be a fee.
