Will National Launch Include H23's??????

I have a very disappointed son. I have been promising him for weeks that I would come over and help him snake cat5e ethernet under his crawl space to his bedroom and network his HD DVR(in the living room) and HD receiver(in his bedroom). I have shown him all of my network features when he came to my house and although he lives in a very rural area, has HughesNet Internet service and understands he cannot use On Demand....he was impressed with the Media Share and MRV and wanted to network his boxes before the Beta was over to see if he would be interested in subscribing to MRV(he has 3 kids, so even $3/month is a "budget consideration").
Sooooo....I went over to his place yesterday and we got his boxes hooked up. He had a "very old" D-Link router he had not used in years and we could not get it working on his new VISTA PC, so when I went to Lowes to get a 100 foot run of cat5e, I went across the street to WalMart and picked up a Netgear router for $40. I "never thought" to ask him(but should have known) what model his HD receiver in the bedroom was......of course it was a H23 which we discovered when we could not find an MRV Opt-In in it's menu and checked:0(

But I told him that it seemed like with MRV going nationwide that all H23's would most likely FINALLY receive the MRV software by 5/13 and he would be able to try it for a week before the Beta was over. Have I needlessly built up his hopes that he will even be able to "try MRV" to see if he wants to "subscribe" to it????

Hard to say if the H23 update will be released this week. They've been CE testing a "customer candidate" for several weeks now, so it must be very close. And they'll certainly need it out when MRV goes National on May 13th.

That was my thought too. And, in the "Has Anyone Received the MRV Software On A H23" post, user soundpro posted the following on May 5:
"Got the H23/600 MRV updated release TODAY - works great!
Located in California."

I can't say that there were a lot of "me toos" following his/her post and I can only assume that he/she didn't get it via a "forced download" like a few other H23 users have done getting a CE release. But, it was encouraging if true because that would mean that it would be very possible for the release to work it's way from the West Coast to Tennessee by the 13th and my son would still be able to try it for a week before Beta was ended. I can only hope that he gets to see it before they start charging for it. It would only seem fair to all of the H23 users that have been missing out since the end of March!!!

I believe the H23 update actually made it to a few places on the West coast before it was pulled and it has been available in the pilot tests cities as well. That would explain why a few people have reported receiving it. Whether a new version will be ready in time or not I don't know, but one way or another I would expect something to be available for the H23 on or about 5/13.
