Will whole-home DVR kill my SD tivo boxes

I am currently upgrading my dvr's to hr-20's and up. The customer service rep said that if she adds the service it will kill those old SD boxec I have. I currently have 2 dishes one a SWM and the other a 5-lnb dish. She made it seem like DIRECTV would kill the old boxes once the new service was added.

Thanks Ronald Phillip

What she meant was that because you have the older Tivo models on the account that they will not be able to properly activate MRV unless they are switched out to SWM compatible SD/DVR's. If you upgrade both Tivo DVR's with HD/DVR's you will be alright for MRV, You just won't be able to use the Tivo DVR's on the account any longer.

As long as you intend to keep the two dish setup with the legacy dish, there should be no problem keeping the TiVos the way they are. If you were to install a SWM8 module you could even use both the old and the new with one dish by using the legacy ports on the SWM8.

But, no matter what, the old Tivos will not share using Whole Home but will operate independently as they do now.
