Would the whole house system work better if I use a solid ethernet cable vs. the wireless adapter?

I was using the beta trial for the multi-room and found that the HD broadcasts that wwere saved on my dvr would freeze constantly, adversely, the standatd broadcasts played rather without a hiccup.

Would the use of a an ethernet cable cure the HD problems???

Straight Ethernet connection will work flawless and have just the same results as the DECA units, but still without Directv tech support. Wireless or power-line is not a good enough connection for MRV, it will be only good for connecting the receivers to the internet.

In some cases wifi works really well, and in others it's pretty bad.  It depends on what type of wifi router and adapter you have.  Do they support G or N?  and how far are they apart?  I've found that many G or N routers default back to B banddwidth if any devices are using B.  Some of the newer ones have multiple antennas and support dual bandwidth capabilities.  There are so many possible issues that it may be tougher to diagnose than to run the cable.

If possible I'd try a long cat 5 or 6  run to your DVR and see how it works.
