Router? Do you mean another streaming device? Can be any other supported streaming device, not limited to the box. Yes, you can order another box (remote comes with the device) to be used at another location.

No we are not the same person. We just aren't as pedantic as you. I have been with this service long enough to know the name will change again in a few months in a vain attempt to rebrand and flee poor reputation.

Hopefully, then in a few months, you will use the correct name.

Can we please play nicely? There are enough real issues that we don't have to make some up over how things are referred to, especially since you knew what the OP was talking about. As the OP notes, they have changed the name of the service a bunch of times (it's had 4 names so far).

Yes naming has been ugh. DIRECTV NOW, then AT&T TV NOW or just AT&T TV, and currently DIRECTV STREAM. The rebranding has been a headache, plus some people confuse it for traditional DirecTV (satellite).
Though branding can change, any streaming device you use is not a router. A router is what routes your internet from the modem to your internet connected devices (TV streaming, computer, game console, etc.). Though most of us have a "Gateway" which is a modem and router together in a single unit. Thankfully from context it was fairly easy to see what was meant, but certainly careful to use the right term.
(Personal pet peeve is those who don't comprehend the difference between internet and WiFi).

So this forum's "experts" are merely pedants who focus solely on terminology and completely ignore the problems customers seek help for.
Got it.

You've got it wrong. Your question was already answered so you got the help you sought. Because of incorrect terms it spun off the discussion onto a side topic. That happens with conversation.
Or do you have another question or don't understand the answer you were already given? If you still have a problem and need help, we would be happy to focus on that. But as it stands, you got the answer you came for so what more is needed?
