Direct TV does not honor advertisement

On Direct TV website, promotion was advertised for certain premium channels to be offered free for 90 days.  Called to take advantage of offer but was informed that the offer was not for me.  WHAT?!  Description said nothing about having qualifications.  False advertisement.

I am obligated for another 18 mos but then I go to other supplier.  Hate being lied to.  CAUTION with this company.

Did you initially order it when you signed up for the service? I think that is the way it has to be done. It looks like you have had the service for 6 months and if you are just asking for it now, that is probably why it is being refused.

DirecTV (satellite) normally includes first 3 months of premium channels for free. (They do this by a credit, so month 4 is roll to pay unless you call to remove). That is a intro offer. It will have the fine print that says what the minimum requirements are, which usually means a minimum base package chosen. That would have been listed under the offer, possibly with an extra click such as where it says "see details".

You say obligated for another 18 months, which means you have had the service for 6 months already. That means you are not a new customer and cannot get an intro offer. In that case you weren't lied to but didn't fully read and comprehend the offer. Promotions on website are intro offers.
