You're always welcome @Psherwood16!

Let me share with you more details about the grace period. When your payment fails on the renewal date of your DIRECTV STREAM service, you'll have 15 days to correct/change the payment method before the subscription canceled on day 16.

Heads up: Make sure to update the payment method by day 15 before 7 p.m. ET, with a new credit card to avoid a cancellation of the account.

Feel free to reach out to us in case you need further asisstance, we'll be here to help.

Probably that day since you are pre-paying for the next month. Been a lot of subscribers that have had their accounts cancelled for non-payment. That is why I use PayPal for payment.

What’s the difference with PayPal?

You can tie your CC or bank draft via PayPal.

Hi @Psherwood16, we are here to clear any question you may have.

When a DIRECTV STREAM account tries to make a payment, and fails, the next day it goes to a 16 days grace period until been turned off.

PayPal is not taken as a payment method when you are signing up for a new DIRECTV STREAM service.

After the 1st months charges are paid, you can update the payment method to PayPal. The most remarkable difference is the number of attempts to make the payments, with Visa Credit Cards it will make 4 attempts, with other payment methods, it will make 10 attempts.

You can update the payment method following the links provided by our web page.
