Had to pull the trigger and leave to another streaming provider after 8 years of DTV Now/Stream
As a Uverse customer for years, I subscribed to DTV Now on Day 1 to receive the promo w/Apple TV's and the GO BIG plan at $35/month. With the ABC/ESPN/Disney issues they had last month at the beginning of College and NFL seasons and the significant increases over the years (including another this month), I started to look at alternatives. Regrettably (or perhaps happily, depending on my experience elsewhere) I have moved to Fubo streaming now. I used the free trial and liked it enough to continue with a new paid subscription going forward. So far so good, only a few differences I can see between their Pro Plan and the DTV Go Big. Not sure if anyone else has done so or is considering it, but I am getting some savings from DTV without having to sacrifice any channels that I typically watch consistently. I am sure there are pros and cons to all streaming services and those can change over time, but I just feel as long term customers that helped get DTVs streaming service off the ground 8 years ago, we should be appreciated more as a result. Yet, I feel as though that makes little, if any difference to DTV leadership.

If you think you are going to find a major service that doesn't have contract issues you will be disappointed. All major Cable, Satellite and Streaming services have them.

Long term or short term doesn't matter when it comes to channels. All TV providers deal with carriage agreements. Big owners like Disney like to pull their weight and cause waves as they count on upsetting their long term viewers to leverage for higher costs.
Until you own channels like Disney, you will not get away from that.

(Edited per community guidelines) luck going to Fubo! But just to give you a heads up I was once a Fubo customer. They dropped channels all the time and there have been at least 2 times that I am aware of that they did not get the channels back and they were major networks which is why I left. I have been with Directv Stream for many years now. I like them way better. Directv is way better when it comes to getting the channels back. It may be an inconvenience to have them gone for a while but at least the channels have always come back!
