Are you logging out when you are exiting? Just exit the app without logging out. I never log out - just exit the app.

Hey @Dcmaguy. We are here to help!

Your DIRECTV STREAM service is pre-configured with auto sign-in to make it easier for you to start using it.

In this specific case you can try to set up the auto sign-in manually with the following steps.

1. Go to your account overview.
2. In the My streaming devices area, select manage.
3. In the auto sign-in, change the selector from Off to On.
4. Follow the prompts to complete.

Please give it a try and let us know if it helps!

Same exact problem here with my folks. They just purchased a Samsung Smart TV and are using the app downloaded to the TV itself and every time they launch the app after powering the TV off (to go to sleep etc) they have to type in all the login information which is severely annoying them to the point of contemplating canceling the service altogether. Even if the problem is on the TV side, the devs at DirecTV should be able to remedy this problem with slight edits to the application's code. Just add the option to save the login information inside the app. I am not an application developer, but this seems like a pretty simple fix to implement. Does anyone have any other solutions? Thanks in advance!!

Sure! Use an external streaming device instead of the native Samsung app. The Samsung app is well documented in the forum to known to have many issues. Most subscribers have finally realized the deficiency of the app over the years and have opted to use external streaming devices.

If it is so easy then I say fix it yourself and make everyone happy.

Send me the code and I'll give it a shot. When I made that statement I didn't feel I needed to explain my credentials. Your response makes me question your award if I'm being honest...
