Problem streaming MAX

We have a Directv account which includes being billed monthly for MAX. I want to stream MAX on both my TV's. On one of our TV's there is no problem. On my other TV, starting a few days ago it says I need to "Connect my provider". It says I need to go the URL Max.Com/providers and enter my code. I enter my code and it says connect your provider. I click on Directv, and then I log into Directv. I get a screen that says Create your account, and I fill in all the requested information. I click on confirm account and it says I need to check my email for a one time code.  I get the one time code and enter  the one time code as requested. I then get a message that says: "Are you sure? Your account is already connected to a subscription billed through another provider. If you start another subscription through DIRECTV you could be billed twice. If you don't want to start another subscription , select "cancel." I don't want to risk paying for another subscription, so I hit cancel, at which point my computer opens my MAX account, but I still can't watch it on the television. Can anyone help me?

When I had this issue I had to use MAX's chat support. They went through standard troubleshooting first, then went into removing the account pairing so I could set it up fresh.

They acknowledged this has been an issue since AT&T separating from DirecTV, but have to try some basics first as any personalized settings or history get reset when they have to do a fresh pairing like with mine. Also as I recall, you have to be careful on the links chosen because the size and format (as I recall) seems to encourage you going through the process of a first time account instead of pairing a device to an existing paired account.

DirecTV stream doesn't even show up as a choice. Not in the list of icons or the smaller font scrolling list. Only thing in the scrolling list that are close are DirecTV and DirecTV Puerto Rico, no stream.

Select DirecTV. Works fine. I have tested on multiple devices with no issues.

you can add your provider account (i.e. "DirecTV") again to satisfy a link to the DirecTV system and then contact MAX support, they will remove the duplicate entry.

you won't lose your watch history by doing this because the MAX account tracks that.
