Service
I singed up for service January 26th 2024 and I was told by not only the employee helping me but also the manager of the store that I could cancel at any time. I went to cancel my service March 2nd. I was then informed that I had 14 days to cancel and since it is past that window I have to a cancelation fee. I called and messaged directv multiple times and they would not budge on this. I highly recommend never using their services again as they lie just to get you to sign up and then charge you even more money to get out of it. They also stated that it would be $400 to cancel and then when I went to cancel it two days later it was $500. Overall this company is full of scammers and I will never be using them again or recommending them to anyone.

DIRECTV Reps at stores should know these things - did they give you a contract to sign? Everything should be there in written form.
https://www.directv.com/ says:
*High-speed internet req'd. New approved residential customers only. 24-mo. agmt req'd. Early agmt termination fee applies ($20/mo.) & add’l fee(s) applies if equip. not returned. Restr’s apply. Credit card req’d. Price incl. TV Pkg & equip. fees for first TV. Charges may apply for each add’l connected TV. Equipment lease required for satellite customers

DirecTV doesn't have employees in stores. So that was a 3rd party salesman (even if it was an AT&T store).
Which service did you get? DirecTV, DIRECTV STREAM, or DirecTV by Internet

Sounds like you subscribed to "DirecTV via Internet" and not "DirecTV Stream". "DirecTV via Internet" has fees and contracts, whereas "DirecTV Stream" has no fees or contract. The 2 are totally different services. Although the 2 services share the same app.
So which service did you subscribe to?
