Unlink old legacy NFL ST account from AT&T
Hello,
Support has been unable to help me with this and I’m hoping someone here knows the magic words I can regurgitate to find someone to help. I’ve spoken with the DAC team on both the satellite and stream side without success.
The problem stems when I login to my AT&T account. I get an ID collision popup asking me if I’m trying to sign into my AT&T or DirecTV account. This started when I cancelled DirecTV stream, which never asked me this question. DirecTV Stream was unlinked from my account successfully by the DAC team, but they can’t unlink or change the email on the legacy NFL ST account that was used for streaming NFL ST back in 2021 without satellite service.
I finally got someone at AT&T to tell me that their internal tools hide inactive accounts from them so they can’t even find this old account even when I give them the account number and associated email address. They offered the only solution as changing the AT&T connect ID email address and the email on my wireless and internet accounts to a new email address and abandon my old email address.
Both AT&T and DirecTV support keep pointing the finger at each other and I’ve made little progress over 4 days and 9 calls to get this resolved.
I work in IT and this sounds ridiculous to me. Surely there’s a way to do what I’m asking? Change the email on the old NFL ST account or, just delink it from my AT&T connect ID so it doesn’t show at login.

AT&T after acquiring DirecTV unified the logins across the services. Now with splitting the TV services off with the new co-owner they have reversed that. Both times has caused issues.
The main fix is you must use a different email for each login. If you cannot get this to separate yourself, you call either AT&T or DirecTV to completely reset the online login access. That is not simply email/password reset but a complete clear as if you were logging in for the first time (doesn't delete your account, just the online access/profile to it).
After that, last step is BBB complaint to kick it to corporate to figure out a solution. Good luck.
