Are there any TVs that I can get the DIRECTV app to work correctly on without having to bang my head against the wall?

I just wanted a small TV for my bedroom. I got one LG can’t get DIRECTV. I don’t watch much TV 99% of its YouTube that I watch however, occasionally I like to watch sports which is the reason I have DIRECTV.

I have a TCL Roku, an occasional hiccup, never had no picture. Stream is much better than satellite.

Hi @Meg94. Great question. Yes, you can get the app with compatible TVs downloaded from your device's app store. Visit Get Info on Compatible Devices | DIRECTV Support to learn which streaming devices, browsers, tablets, and TVs you can use to watch DIRECTV. Thank you for choosing DIRECTV. 💙

Not really. The DirecTV app on those 'smart' TVs is bit sub-standard. It is suggested for DIRECTV STREAM that you use a dedicated streaming box.

However, if you have original DirecTV (satellite) then you should have a satellite box on that TV in the first place.

The best thing to do is to buy a Roku, Fire Stick or one of the streaming devices that has DirecTV Stream on it. If you want direct channel number entery, the only thing that allows it is the DirecTV Stream box.

@Meg94

Do you have DirecTV or DIRECTV STREAM, as in satellite or streaming-only? Rather different services so want to be sure you're getting all the correct answers.
