Direct TV Stream and Amazon Firestick HD

About every other time we open the DirectTV Stream app through the Firestick HD, we get a message "something went wrong, try again later".  We have to reboot the firestick by unplugging it.  Then the app opens.   This only happens with the DirectTV Stream app.   All other apps on the firestick HD work well.  Once we get the DirectTV Steam app open, it works well.  But then another day, we have to reboot again.  Have tried reloading the DirectTV Stream app.  Went to settings and cleared the memory.  Sent the Firestick HD back and got another.  None of these fixes worked.  Interestingly, on another TV, with a non-HD firestick, we have not run into this issue.    Anyone have any ideas to help?

It could very well be a poor connection where that Fire Stick is. Can you try running a speed test on (speedtest.net) using the Amazon Fire Stick browser ‘Silk’? Report back the upload and download speeds.

Also, you can try swapping the two Fire Sticks. Put the non-HD Fire Stick (I think you are referring to Fire Stick Lite) in the room with the troublesome Fire Stick and the troublesome Fire Stick in the room where the non-HD Fire Stick (probably Fire Stick Lite) is. Report if there are any issues and on what devices.

Have run the speed test - close to 100mbps download speed.  Have 3 different wifi networks in this house.  Same issue no matter which one I am using.  The other firestick is an older non-HD version.  I can put it back on the main tv and see if it still works.  It was on this tv until Amazon gave me an offer to upgrade to the HD stick

Did you used to have Dtv Satellite and use the same login credentials? Have you recently changed zip code or travelled/used Dtv Stream?

Is your billing zip code up to date with Dtv Stream? It has to match your IP location
