DirecTV Stream No Longer Working on Firestick

I tried all the steps given b/c a few days ago all of a sudden when I'd open my DirecTV Stream on my Firestick it would just remain a black screen. Nothing worked. So finally I uninstalled and re-installed the app. Now it loads to the login screen. When I log in, it spins for a while and then says

"Issue with network connection or the server. Try signing in again. Care Code: 600."

I have no issue with any other apps and my internet is working fine. I've tried for days to re-sign in but continuously get this message.

I tried to login on my computer too and can't even get to the login page. It says "This site can't be reached".

Please help!

If you are having issues on both a streaming device and a laptop, that could mean an internet connection issue due to VPN connections, etc. What happens when you try to login on a phone/tablet? That laptop may have virus protection, a VPN, or additional software keeping the DIRECTV site from accepting your credentials.

Having trouble streaming the DIRECTV STREAM app on an Amazon Fire TV device? Try these quick tips to fix common upgrade issues.  

DETAILED STEPS
Learn how to fix common upgrade issues
Step 1: Free up Storage
On the Fire TV home screen, go to: Settings > Applications > Manage installed Applications > Appstore > Clear Data and Clear Cache. 
Click on Clear Data, then click on Clear Cache. 
Wait for 2 minutes before moving to next step.
Step 2: Try to perform update again (option 1 – if force update enabled)
Go back to Fire TV device home screen.
Launch DIRECTV Stream application.
With the force update screen, select to UPDATE app.
Now you will be redirected to the Amazon App Store.
At the DIRECTV Stream app screen, you may see Update or Open options.
If Open, jump to Step 4.
If Update is available, select update. Latest version of app (4.0.24 or above) should download and be available to launch and stream.
If Update fails or hangs, Skip to Step 4.
Step 3: Try to perform an update again (option 2 – if no force update enabled)
Go back to Fire TV device home screen.
Go to Find > navigate to AppStore > Click Search > Using keypad type in DIRECTV Stream > Click this Option.
On this screen, you should see an UPDATE button.
If this Update option is available, select update. Latest version of app (4.0.24 or above) should download and be available to launch and stream.
If Update fails or hangs, Skip to Step 4.
Step 4: Uninstall and re-install the DIRECTV Stream App 
Go back to the Fire TV home screen. 
Go to: Settings > Applications > Manage Installed Applications > DIRECTV Stream > Uninstall. 
Go back to the Fire TV home screen. 
Text search or voice search for DIRECTV Stream. 
Reinstall the App via Download option.
Latest version of app (4.0.24 or above) should download and be available to launch and stream.
Heads Up! If continuing to have issues with install after following above steps, please try uninstalling apps you no longer use to free up further storage.

I have over 1GB of free space and cleared unused applications. I uninstalled app and while trying to reinstall the app reads "Installing". I've reseted the fire stick by unplugging power for a few mins. Not what the issue is currently.

Have you tried (re)installing any other apps to see if they have an issue?  Installing shouldn't have anything to do with DirecTV, just Amazon - the install itself should complete, whether successfully or not (perhaps unless the FireStick is having network problems).  Were you having other issues that led you to try a reinstall?

@litzdog911 I bought it fall of 2018, looks like it's the second gen version.

@Jrandomuser I haven't tried reinstalling any other recently deleted apps, but I will try that step. thx

Your 5-year-old Firestick might be too old to support the latest DirecTV Stream App.

This was from Oct 2022. To update, DirectTV was blocking my IP address, out of the blue, after years of service. My internet provider changed it and it worked for 1 month and then the same thing happened. So it was in fact NOT an issue with my firestick, which is a 4k and not terribly old, as it was confusing why every other app worked and my internet speed was great. I couldn't even access DirectTVs site to log into my acct. It was blocking me from all angles. DirectTV did not provide any help on this after many hours spent on hold, calling with promises of getting back to me in 48 hours and then days go by and I have to call again, etc. We finally narrowed down the issue and DirectTV Stream said they'd look into it and never got back to me. My internet provider even offered to talk to them which they wouldn't do. My internet provider then changed my IP address again and it worked. So far so good since Dec but that was the issue in case anyone runs into the same problem.
