I received a replacement directv stream device and there was an instruction sheet that says to replace the sim card. There is no sim card. This insert will cause confusion.
I would agree with that Juniper. The insert that was needed is a how-to to pair your old remote with new box they just sent.
I couldn't go through the initial set up. Pressing keys on the remote did nothing. I did know enough to figure out that the remote needed to be paired. Internet search showed that you press FF and REW buttons at the same time to trigger the pairing function. Again, that info on the insert would have been better.
But, I will say I was truly pleased with the turnaround. I called Saturday evening to report the issue I was having, long story short, they decided to ship a replacement box that I received 2 days later on Monday!

Definitely quite confusing as DIRECTV STREAM boxes don’t use SIM cards being it is an OTT service that authenticates subscriptions via credentials.
