I record Blues hockey, college basketball and everything I record extends the time automatically. Using a Dtv stream box and side loaded app on my android tv.

none of the sporting events or other live programs that i have recorded have this feature. This Auto Record Extension popup comes up whenever i pause a recording
Thanks Ludwick557. Hopefully this will work for me. I have not had an overtime or shootout hockey game for a while. For the moment i record the program after. Last weeks drag race went 6 minutes into the next 2.5 hour long program
None of the live Friday Saturday or Sunday motorsports programs recorded further that the allotted time, and they all finished after. The hockey game did go into overtime and a shootout and the DVR did record the entire game. So that is good, just need for it to record all sports.

Note: Sports recordings are automatically extended where content continues to stream beyond the programmer’s scheduled time. Applies to the NFL, MLB, NHL, and NBA leagues, NCAA Football and Basketball (Division I), Soccer (UEFA, FIFA) and PGA Tour Golf.
