Fiber optic port on streaming device
I just bought a sound bar and my TV does not have HDMI ARC nor does it have a fiber optic port. I was going to use HDMI from the device to the TV and the fiber from the fiber optical sound output port on the streaming device to the sound bar.
Am I thinking correctly?

That will work but keep in mind that only the audio from the streaming device is going to reach the sound bar. So if you have an off-air antenna or DVD player for example, audio from those sources will not reach the sound bar.
