HDR not supported?

I had a TV that didn't support HDR, but I just bought a new Samsung that DOES support HDR, but when I go into the settings on the Gemini device, it still says HDR not supported by your TV.  Any idea why?  Does HDR work for everyone else or is this yet another ridiculous DirecTV bug?

Thanks for waiting. To further look into it, can you share the model of your Samsung TV? January, DIRECTV Community Specialist

Just enable HDR on your Samsung TV first, and then after that, do it on the Gemini.

Thanks guys, it turns out that the TV has some hard-to-find setting that needed to be turned on, as GTyz and Ludwick suggested, that did the trick!

Yah I used to have a Samsung TV and the setting doesn't say HDR.  Mine was "input signal plus"
