iPhone and iPad - app rejects valid sign in credentials

For the past 24 hours since subscribing to Directv Stream and downloading/reinstalling/etc. the app, I cannot sign in on my two iPhone 12s and iPads.  See screenshot below.


Has anyone else experienced  this, and are there any definite solutions? Password changes solve nothing. I was on the phone for almost 3 hours yesterday, and 5-6 DTV reps failed to rectify. Able to sign in just fine on Apple TV and Amazon Fire devices.

Are you using Apple's Single Sign-On option? Try deleting the provider and then try again. In the past this has been a problem.

For DirecTV Satellite, call 1-800-531-5000.

For DirecTV Stream, call 1-888-429-4023.

Thanks. Yes, I’ve deleted providers. Not working.

Hi @iskowitz, thank you for reaching us.

This error code usually appears when the credentials do not match. We want to make sure you're using the correct information related to your account.

1. On the
Sign in to DIRECTV page, select Forgot email or user ID?
2. Enter your email address or account number.
3. Select Continue.
4. We’ll send your user ID to the email address on file.

Also, you will need t
o reset your online password to complete this process.

Pro Tip: Please, clear cookies and caches of the apps that you are using prior trying to login again.

Vanessa, there’s nothing wrong with my sign-in credentials. They work perfectly in the app on other devices. I tried your suggestion repeatedly yesterday without success.

I appreciate the information you have provided. Here's a different method we can try to sign in which is directly from your settings:

 

First, change the TV provider if you're already signed in to a different one:

 

1. Open Settings.

2. Scroll down and tap TV Provider.

3. Tap Sign Out or Remove TV Provider.

 

Then, sign in to DIRECTV STREAM on your device:

 

1. Return to Settings, then tap TV Provider. 

2. Search for and choose DIRECTV STREAM.

3. Enter your user ID and password, and tap Sign In.

As soon as my Directv satellite service was cancelled as scheduled today, the iPhone app allowed me to sign in!
