Loading saying Please Wait

My new DIRECTV STREAM box just sits on a spinning page for 2 hours after picking my WiFi saying please wait with a spinning logo and no code. PLEASE HELP

Please try restarting the device and running a diagnostics test if restarting the device doesn't help. This page has detailed steps on how to perform these steps as well as other tips.

Are you using a VPN?

I noticed that when connected directly or through some VPN's, the box goes through the setup process without any problems.

But with a handful of VPN's the box stalls after choosing a network connection. It just stays at the update screen.

This is just the tip of the iceberg of the issues you will experience with the box and DIRECTV STREAM service.  I subscribed in early December 2019 and have experienced continual issues with buffering, screen freezes, audio sync issues, daily restarts of the box, etc.  Virtually everytime we turn on one of our TVs connected to an DIRECTV STREAM box, we encounter some issue.  The solution always offered by the DIRECTV STREAM techs is to restart the box and/or restart your wifi.  I also have fiber at 300 mbs for my internet connection and yesterday I was told that my issues are due to congestion.  Congestion at 300 MBS ??  Give me a break.  My advice is STAY AWAY FROM THIS SERVICE.

Ended up having to go to the store and getting a warranty replacement. Product now works great and I love it!

The help document shows a path of Home > Settings > Help > Troubleshooting > Run Network Diagnostics.

However, once I press home I do not see an option for Settings. I see a network selection screen.


NEED HELP?
