been trying to resolve a Bill issue

We canceled our DIRECTV services due to the incompetent customer service and now it continues because the bill I received did not make sense and it did not have a date to pay, but it just said when we receive it. Also have been calling multiple times with no one in the United States. The last person I talked to that wasn’t in the United States did not listen to what I needed so they sent us three years worth of billing cycle and amount and when we paid it. I need to talk to someone that’s in the United States that understands and Can explain our bill amount to us. Thank you

We're sorry to hear about your experience, @MajaPollock. Sending you a DM now, so a specialist can review your billing statement and provide the breakdown you need. Charles, DIRECTV Community Team

Like many companies, DirecTV does have some outsourcing with their call centers. There is no way to guarantee anyone you speak with is located in the United States, was born here, or has any particular regional accent that might be best for you. That is a call and spin the wheel to see what you get.

In addition to the DM you were offered, you could post a screen shot of your bill (just be sure to remove personal info) and other experienced users could help make sense of it.

The final billing works in general:

Not prorated. You pay for, and receive service, through the end of the service month you are in. So canceling halfway through or even the day the service month starts, doesn't change the monthly charges.

The next service month you receive a courtesy statement. Ideally this confirms DirecTV received your final payment and is a zero balance for your records.

However, if you have time left on a service agreement there would be an Early Cancellation Fee (ECF), Non-Return Fee (NRF) if required equipment didn't go back in a timely manner, or if PPVs found ordered on the access card upon return but hadn't billed out then Unbilled PPVs would show, are possible one-time charges to clear the account.
