Billing
Called to cancel due to loss of Sunday Ticket. Agent tells me they haven’t lost it, to put account on hold until season starts “in case corporate can work it out.” I do that. Eventually call to cancel service altogether. Now am getting billed because when I canceled service, I supposedly had to reinstate service for the rest of the month and then cancel. No, I’m not paying for that.

You can't cancel an account that is suspended, you have to reinstate it. DTV no longer prorates the final bill so you pay for and receive service until the end of your billing cycle regardless of when you cancel. Guess what? That CSR is wrong NFL Sunday Ticket will not return to DTV until the contract with You Tube runs out and DTV can bid for it again.

We cancelled streaming service in April of 2024. We were on auto pay with this organization (Direct TV). We discovered this week that Direct TV has been withdrawing money from our account without supplying the service. We would like the refund of monies removed in the amount of $4,029.63

DirecTV has a 60 day billing dispute policy. Like most companies, they require to be notified in a reasonable time if there is an issue.
Unfortunately over two years is not a reasonable time for anybody. If you haven't already done so, contact DirecTV to cancel the service. Verify there is no further payments, or at most only one payment depending when the cancellation is effecitve.
In the future be more attentive with your finances. Read your bills as well as your card and bank statements.

Please don't respond to threads older than a year or so old.
It's ok to start a new thread, especially when the reply has little to do with the original post and is three years later.
