DIRECTV has nothing to do with your internet provider as it is service via satellite dish. If you are referring to DIRECTV STREAM and/or the connection of your DIRECTV HD DVR to the internet, just inform the technician during the visit to wire the Ethernet to the directv box if it is an older model or just simply connect via wireless to the new internet connection to continue enjoying on-demand, apps, pay-per-view, and watch from beginning on select channels.
