Door-to-door sales call
Yesterday, we had a rep visit our house...first to warn of AT&T work that might impact service, then to offer a discount to our TV bill and offer faster internet for less $$$, in exchange for signing up for an ADT service. Was this legit? I'm in Solano county in California

scam at&t has digital life security adt is a different company they also dont proactivly give discounts because work "MIGHT" affect service, everything about this screams get off my lawn
my advice is to call at&t directly and ask if there are any similar offers

DTV doesn't use door to door sales persons so they are working for a third party company.

They were probably trying to set you up as a new customer and then you would have two active accounts and two bills.
