New service

When I switched from Dish Network to DirecTV, I was told they have a dish switcher program that will reimburse my cancellation fee from Dish Network up to $150.00. I was also told there would be a $150.00 VISA card. I called DirecTV last night and was told to go to att.com/rewardscenter. I can find nothing about a dish switcher program or VISA card on the rewardscenter page. Can someone tell me how to get what I was promised?

You should have been told about these rewards in your DIRECTV service confirmation email with the gift card. If it isn’t there, the agent who ordered service for you did it wrong and there is a low chance you will receive what was promised to you by the agent since there is no current offer of the sort. There is just the standard $100 Visa gift card for signing up.

Check the order confirmation DirecTV emailed you. Does it list a $150 card, or a card of any sort? Always check the offical order to see how it matches against what you were told.

Was this with DirecTV support or their website, or did you order through a 3rd party retailer (all physical locations and in-person are 3rd party sellers, even AT&T stores to a point as they are not employees of the DirecTV side).
