On demand requires subscription?
Some channels I have, such as ch 269, work perfectly but when trying to access that channel's on demand programming, a screen comes up asking if I want to add channel to my subscription. Why? The live channel works.
This happens on a few channels, but other on demand features, such as channel 304, work fine.
So, what's going on here?

We understand the importance to enjoy your preferred features and programming. For On Demand content, each specific network hold their own titles to be ordered On Demand. Since they have the right over this kind of content, it is up to them to manage the terms of availability. In that order, some On Demand titles may ask for a subscription or one time payment to access exclusive shows under your DIRECTV package.

@Steve1968 try refreshing the receiver online via this link: directv.com/refresh
After done, wait 5 minutes and give the box a red button reset on the side or front panel of the receiver. Once it gets back to Live TV, verify that the internet is connected and then try to search a show on channel 269 and see if the pop-up reappears. If so, wait a few more hours and if not 24-48 hours for on-demand to repopulate after the red button reset.
