I am no longer a century customer. My Direct TV was tied to Century Link

If you haven't yet, set up your online account here first, @Katlov50: DIRECTV Login - Account Sign In - Watch TV, Pay Bills & More

Then, here are some of the most convenient options to pay for your DIRECTV service:

  • Pay online at https://spr.ly/61211BGjTXf:

  1. Go to the Billing & Payments section.

  2. Select your payment amount and date.

  3. Choose a payment method (checking/savings account or credit/debit card).

  4. Review and complete your payment. You can also update your payment method at any time.

  • Enroll in autopay:

  1. On your DIRECTV Account Overview page, select Payment Settings.

  2. Sign up for autopay using a checking account or credit/debit card.

  3. Complete the required information to enroll. Note that it may take up to a billing period for autopay to start, so pay as usual until you see autopay is scheduled.

If you had a combined bill with Century Link, depending on when you canceled, the last bill Century link paid DirecTV might be returned. If that happens it would result in two months of DirecTV on one bill. Just something to be prepared for.

Once the accounts are delinked, you setup your account at DirecTV's website like any other. I am not sure how much time to expect after canceling CenturyLink for DirecTV to reflect you can login directly, but it shouldn't be more than a bill cycle at most.

I do say this will make the DirecTV information so much easier to read, as combined bills can only do a general look without explaining anything from their combined bill partner. Plus this will remove any order restrictions you had as CenturyLink forbids combined bill customers from watching certain content (if that matters for you).
