Shabby Programming on Music Channels 864 & 866
Comments to DTV Channels 864 & 866
Last night I saw that Brahms’ Symphony #3 was playing. So I turned the sound up so I could hear it. (Normally I mute the sound as most of what’s offered on DTV Channels 864 & 866 is rubbish). But only the first movement was played. This is the usual occurrence; one movement from a major work is played. It’s like reading one chapter of the beginning, middle or end of a novel. One is left with a distinct feeling of being incomplete especially when you know there was more before and after. Could it be that whoever sent you these works they left out all but one movement? No way. You received the entire work and cut it up to suit time slots or some other silly reason. Probably that NOBODY there understands or appreciates classical music.
Day after day the same thing happens. Just a few hours ago on channel 864 DTV played the last movement of Rachmanninoff’s Piano Concerto #2. What happened to the first two movements?
All day long I see one Haydn symphony after another. Since I’m not a fan of Franz Joseph Haydn I have no idea if DTV plays the entire work; probably not. Have to get on to another lesser-known composer. Have to give everyone a chance to be heard. Never mind that The Masters wrote a heap of wonderful musical works that DTV only plays bits & pieces of. You know who the Masters are, right? They include but are not limited to Beethoven, Brahms, Rachmaninoff, Tchaikovsky, Bruckner, Verdi, Mozart, Grieg, Schubert, Schumann, Prokoviev, Verdi, Ponchielli, Chopin, Vivaldi, Stravinski, Dvorak, Mendelsohn, Rossini, Puccini, Strauss, Sibelius, Berlioz, Bizet, Paganini, Rimsky-Korsakoff, Mussorgsky, Saint-Saens, Gounod, et al.
And do not forget Ippolitov-Ivanov, Addinsell, Meyerbeer, Rodgers, Respighi, Dukas, Littolf, Debussy, Reznicek and a host of American composers who write for the movies and TV.
There is a lot of really wonderful musical experiences awaiting your listeners
IF YOU WOULD JUST PLAY THEM!!!!!!!!!!
I am available to guide you.

DTV has no control over what Music Choice does with their programing.

It's DTV that I have a contract with; not Music Choice. I pay DTV nearly $200 each month for mostly unwatchable TV including the music channels. I'll bet if I find a way to contact MC they'll tell me to air any grievances with DTV.
