Suspicious call about satellite service
I just received a call from a man, with a heavy East Indian accent, stating that he needed to check my TV service. I mistakenly told him we lived in the country. He then stated he was from Directv/ATT and that he needed to check my receiver box to see if it was compatible with satellite repositioning. He had me press the INFO button and then wanted me to read off all the receiver info. When I questioned why he didn't have that info, he said he did but needed to verify it. I told him that I was too busy to deal with this right now. He told me to call back to Directv tech support at 747-206-1741. He called me from 800-532-8000. When I accused this of being a scam, he just kept saying "why would you say that, I'm from Directv"

I mess with these guys for 10-15 minutes. I have been called some really colorful names when they figure out that I know what they're up to and am just playing them.
For instance, they call and say they're with DIRECTV, and when I say I don't have DIRECTV, then suddenly they're with Charter. And when the button presses they walk me through don't do anything (they might if I did them, but I'm not on Charter either, so...).
