Yahoo mail and direct tv log in

i have not logged into my yahoo mail on my laptop in over 4 weeks.  When I try to change my password on Yahoo mail I get a message saying my User ID for Yahoo is the same as the User ID for Direct TV.  IT IS.  They are both my email address of elmasjones@bellsouth.net.  I can not change my Direct TV name because it wants an email address.  My YahooMail wants an email address to and the one above is what I use.  I need to get a Powerpoint document on a jump drive and can not do it from my tablet or phone.  How do Ichane my Password on Yahoo and access my mail?
