0x154f software update

Since this software installed on 8/17 the receiver lost internet connection. I've tried resetting the connection, but nothing works.

You can try  using your remote --Menu -search- (type) Clearmybox -search -search all.

Ox1550 is the Pull stream Now -- you can pull it manual if you wish (it's the current national release.

use your Remote --menu-settings --reset --Press Restart receiver--

When your receiver goes dark --watch for the Start of the receiver startup (first blue light) use your remote and press 0-2-4-6-8 (repeat) until you see the blue screen searching for new software.

if you miss it --(press the red button) and try -try -again

Then when  0x154f comes around again it will be downloaded again and we never recommend forcing a download as there is beta software that can brick the receiver.

How do you know the internet is not connected?  The update may have rebooted the receiver twice and dumped the guide data and it takes a day or two to rebuild.

1550 is newer than 154f so 154f won't download. But you should NEVER suggest anyone uses 02468 to do a download. You'll get whatever is in the stream which could easily be a high-risk beta. It's a terrible suggestion.

I know the internet is not connected because the DVR says it's not connected, my EERO shows that the directv box disconnected from my network on the same date and time as the update. Also, I tried to schedule a recording and got an error message that I was not connected to the internet. When I attempt to reconnect the box hangs at "Checking wireless adapter."

Then the Genie Wireless adapter has failed --you can connect a lan cable to the rear of the genie --if that is possible --if NOT --call 1800-531-5000 and get a replacement receiver.

to follow up - I did the Clearmybox routine and everything reset, and the internet connection was restored.

Thanks for your help.
