4K Projector Compatibility with C61K Mini Genie
Has anyone gotten a 4K signal to your 4K projector using the C61K Mini Genie? I have an Epson 5050UB that can get 4K signals from a Panasonic 4K Ultra Blue Player and from various streaming content providers (e.g. netflix, amazon prime) via a Roku Ultra. However, when the C61K is tuned to DTV 4K channels (e.g. 104 - 106), the projector only gets a 1080i signal. Any ideas as to why?

Even if the projector is 4K (in theory), it needs to have these specifications with at LEAST one HDMI port:
HDCP 2.2, HDMI 2.0, and 60 frames per second
Otherwise, 4K on the C61K will not work properly.

The projector does have those specs: HDCP 2.2, HDMI 2.0b, and 60FPS. Are you aware of anyone getting a 4K signal with their projector?

With these specs, it is more than possible. Is the C61K set for 4K resolution? Go to Menu, Settings, Display, TV resolutions, and ensure 4K (2160p) is ticked.

Yes, 4K is checked. Yesterday I placed the projector next to a 4K OLED TV. When the HDMI cable from the C61K was connected to the TV, it got a 4K signal (confirmed by pushing the format button on the remote followed by a display on the TV screen reading "4K resolution + original format"); however, when I removed the HDMI cable from the TV and plugged it into the projector, it got a 1080i signal (confirmed by pushing the format button on the remote followed by a display on the projector screen reading "1080i resolution + original format"). I subsequently tried to no avail changing the order of turning on the projector versus when I plugged in the HDMI cable.

Unfortunately, the projector may not be compatible.
Although, I know for sure projectors are able to be used with the C61K with 4K. Perhaps just not your model.

Sounds reasonable, but the projector has the same ratings as the TV: HDMI 2.0, HDCP 2.2, and 60FPS. In addition the projector gets 4K signals from other sources (Roku streaming and 4K Ultra Blue Ray Player).
